Job Title: Barista Job Location: East Patel Nagar, New Delhi Reports To: Café Manager/Supervisor Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee, cold beverages, and shakes while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. They will also operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines, and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for customers. Key Responsibilities Beverage Preparation Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including espresso-based drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos), cold brews, smoothies, and specialty shakes. Maintain consistency in beverage quality and presentation following company recipes and standards. Suggest menu items to customers and customize drinks based on preferences. Equipment Operation and Maintenance Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Regularly clean and maintain coffee and beverage equipment to ensure optimal performance. Customer Service Greet customers warmly and create a positive, engaging atmosphere. Take customer orders accurately and handle special requests. Provide product knowledge, including the origin and preparation of coffee blends and specialty drinks. Inventory and Stock Management Monitor inventory levels for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients. Restock and organize supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Inform the manager of any stock shortages or equipment malfunctions. Health and Safety Compliance Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including counters, equipment, and seating areas. Team Collaboration Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to improve skills and product knowledge. Key Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills Proven experience as a Senior barista or similar role in a café or restaurant. Hands-on experience with coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines. Knowledge of coffee bean varieties, brewing methods, and beverage customization. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Certification in food safety or Senior barista training (advantageous). Basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements.
