Our success is driven by a dedicated team that navigates the complexities of international trade, and we are looking for a seasoned professional to join our finance team to manage our crucial banking and export finance operations.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-oriented Export Finance and Banking Manager to take full ownership of our company's export finance operations. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact with our banking partners, responsible for managing all trade finance facilities, optimizing working capital, and ensuring all banking transactions for our export business are executed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bank Liaison & Relationship Management: Act as the single point of contact for all banking-related matters. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with our partner banks' trade finance departments.
• Trade Finance Management: Manage the entire process of Pre-Shipment Credit (e.g., Packing Credit in Rupees/Foreign Currency) from application to final adjustment.
• Handle all aspects of Post-Shipment Credit, including the negotiation, discounting, and purchase of export bills under Letters of Credit or other terms.

Management of Banking Limits:

• Actively monitor and manage the utilization of all sanctioned banking limits (e.g., Cash Credit, Packing Credit, FBP/FBD, Bank Guarantees).
• Prepare financial data and submit all necessary proposals for the renewal and enhancement of credit facilities.
• Letter of Credit (LC) Operations:
• Scrutinize incoming Letters of Credit for financial viability and compliance, suggesting amendments where necessary.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of compliant documents under LCs to the bank to ensure timely negotiation and payment without discrepancies.

Trade Finance Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial and shipping documents required by banks for executing trade finance transactions (e.g., Bills of Exchange, Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading).
• Ensure all documents are fully compliant with LC terms, FEMA guidelines, and international banking standards (UCP 600) to prevent delays in payment.

Financial Operations & Reporting:

• Manage foreign inward remittances, ensuring timely credit and proper documentation for Bank Realization Certificates (BRCs).
• Coordinate with the accounts department for the reconciliation of bank statements and provide reports on export finance status to management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have prior experience working in an export-oriented company.
• A minimum of [e.g., 3-5] years of demonstrable experience in a similar role focusing on export finance and banking.
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Pre-Shipment and Post-Shipment export finance facilities.
• Proven experience in independently handling and negotiating Letters of Credit (LCs) and liaising with banks.
• Strong experience in managing banking credit limits and facilities.
• Thorough understanding of FEMA guidelines, RBI regulations, and international trade finance rules.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
