Backend Developer

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and efficient code libraries.
• Design and implement optimized database schemas (SQL & NoSQL).
• Manage asynchronous communication using message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS) or event streaming (Kafka).
• Develop clean, well-documented RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams (Product, Frontend, QA).
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Stay current with backend tech trends and suggest system improvements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex backend issues.
• Implement backend security and data protection best practices.

• 2–5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer (or similar).
• Strong proficiency in at least one language: Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript), Python, Java, Go, C#, etc.
• Experience with backend frameworks (Express.js, NestJS, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, etc.).
• Strong grasp of RESTful APIs (GraphQL knowledge is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS) or event streaming (Kafka).
• Expertise in SQL/NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices principles.
• Experience with Docker and Git (GitHub/GitLab).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

• Writing unit, integration, or end-to-end backend tests.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Security best practices for backend systems.
• Open-source contributions or a public GitHub portfolio.
