Job Title: Azure Specialist – Security, Patching & End-User Support

Job Location : On site ( Mohali )

Shift timings: Night Shift

Position Summary

The Azure Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security, configuration, patching, and operational stability of the organization’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment and related infrastructure. This role will manage cloud and endpoint systems, apply security and compliance best practices, support patch management lifecycles, and provide technical support to end users. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise in Azure administration, endpoint management, and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Security & Configuration

• Implement and maintain secure Azure configurations aligned with best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), role-based access control (RBAC), conditional access, and MFA enforcement.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts, logs, and events from Azure Security Center and related tools.
• Harden virtual machines, storage accounts, and network configurations to minimize attack surface.

Patching & System Maintenance

• Manage and execute patching cycles for Windows and Linux workloads hosted in Azure.
• Automate patch deployment and reporting through tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Azure Update Management, or WSUS.
• Ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities identified through vulnerability management solutions.
• Maintain configuration baselines for servers and endpoints.

End-User & Infrastructure Support

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to end users, including troubleshooting connectivity, authentication, and application access issues.
• Support endpoint configuration, device enrollment, and policy compliance through Intune and other MDM solutions.
• Assist with account provisioning, password resets, and access control requests.
• Partner with IT service desk to escalate and resolve complex incidents.

Governance, Monitoring & Documentation

• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, runbooks, and change logs.
• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and exercises.
• Ensure adherence to organizational security policies, standards, and SLAs.
• Contribute to automation and scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing and securing Azure environments.
• Proficiency with Azure AD, Intune, Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Center, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong knowledge of patch management tools and methodologies.
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2) a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
