Job Overview

We are looking for a senior professional to lead the Projects Department and manage large-scale capital equipment / EPC projects for Power Plants. The role demands strong leadership, project management expertise, and experience in delivering multidisciplinary projects within time, cost, and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire Projects Department, ensuring achievement of time, cost and deliverables as per contractual commitments.
• Define project scope, prepare work plans, schedules, estimates, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor project milestones and overall progress, ensuring timely execution.
• Prepare and control project budgets, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, manage deviations, claims, and scope changes.
• Coordinate timely placement of purchase/work orders and ensure resource availability.
• Ensure quality of all supplies and services as per project specifications.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships; handle reviews and issue resolution.
• Ensure timely and accurate client billing, turnover and collections.
• Oversee documentation, communication and contract closure activities.
• Manage contractor payments, dispute resolution, and relationship building.
• Build, motivate and mentor high-performing project teams; develop leadership pipeline.
• Act as the single point of contact with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate senior management reviews on project status.

Essential Experience

• 23–25 years in capital equipment projects for Power Plants or EPC companies.
• Proven success in managing large, multidisciplinary projects across India/internationally.
• Strong background in planning, execution, monitoring, budgeting, and contract management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, site execution).
• Strong client interfacing, vendor management, commercial & contractual handling.
