Job Title: AVP – Motor Claims Location: Gurugram Sec 32 Department: Claims – Motor Insurance Experience Required: 15+ years Industry: Insurance / Automotive / InsurTech Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our Motor Claims function as Chief Manager / AVP. The ideal candidate will come with a strong background in automobile engineering, hands-on experience in digital claims processes, and the ability to drive automation and efficiency through tools like API integration, BRD/PRD documentation, and data analysis. Key Responsibilities: · Lead and manage the end-to-end motor claims process, ensuring smooth operations and TAT adherence · Develop and review Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Product Requirement Documents (PRD) for claims automation and tech enhancements · Coordinate with tech teams for successful API integrations with internal systems, partners, and insurers · Analyze claims data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and operational improvements · Monitor service levels, vendor performance, and regulatory compliance · Lead process improvements, team training, and stakeholder management · Collaborate with underwriting, product, tech, and customer service teams for continuous improvement in claims processes · Ensure customer-centric resolution of high-value or escalated claims Key Requirements: · Education: Bachelor's in Automobile Engineering (mandatory) · Experience: Minimum 15 years in motor claims handling, preferably with experience in digital-first insurance or InsurTech setups · Strong understanding of API integrations and system workflows · Proven ability to write and interpret BRD/PRD documents · Excellent analytical and reporting skills, especially using Excel · Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Attributes: · Exposure to digital claims systems and automation tools · Experience in leading large teams and managing external partners (e.g., surveyors, garages, OEM) · Knowledge of IRDAI regulations related to motor insurance claims Show more Show less
