About Tracxn

Tracxn is a Bangalore-based SaaS product company providing startup and innovation intelligence to global enterprises and institutions.

We serve a wide range of clients including large corporates, investors, consulting firms, and government organizations across multiple geographies.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced business development leader to head the Government Vertical at Tracxn. This role requires strong exposure to B2G or Institutional Sales, understanding of government procurement channels, and proven ability to drive partnerships with public sector organizations.

The ideal candidate will be able to independently identify opportunities, build relationships with senior stakeholders, and manage the complete business development cycle from lead identification to closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business development for the Government and Public Sector segment.
  • Identify and qualify relevant opportunities through public portals and institutional networks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across government bodies, PSUs, and associated agencies.
  • Drive proposal creation, bid submissions, and contract finalization with internal support teams.
  • Develop a consistent pipeline through both outbound and inbound efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for account management, renewals, and delivery alignment.
  • Monitor and report sales performance metrics, revenue forecasts, and funnel progress to leadership.
  • Stay updated on public sector policies, procurement guidelines, and innovation initiatives relevant to the business.Contribute to strategic discussions on market positioning and vertical growth.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in Enterprise / Institutional / Government Sales or Public Sector Consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large or complex accounts with government departments or allied institutions.
  • Strong understanding of

    public procurement processes

    , tendering norms, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience in a

    SaaS, data, or technology-driven environment

    preferred.
  • Based in

    Bangalore

    or willing to relocate.
