Senior Test & Validation Engineer
Job Summary
Senior Test & Validation Engineer for Machine Autonomy Applications. This role is critical, as it holds the key to ensuring the quality and reliability of our command software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of testing methodologies, coupled with strong problem-solving skills. They will also need to possess the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities for this role include designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases. Additionally, the candidate will own HIL benches, collaborate closely with the Test Lead, and ensure that both internal and external program requirements are met. Analysing test results, performing root cause analysis, and working collaboratively with development teams to resolve technical issues are also essential aspects of this role.
What You Will Do
- Identify and Resolve System / Software / Design issues for machine Autonomy Applications.
- Ensure Verification & Validation test suite for design acceptance and Integration test lab / proving ground readiness as per plan.
- Ensure design acceptance and proving ground readiness as per plan.
- Plan and improve testing procedures for reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor results, machine/process capabilities, and performance reliability.
- Adopt new technologies (AI, automation) for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Ensure HIL benches are available and maintained per program requirements and Reduce downtime and improve utilization of the benches.
- Advocate 5S safety in Lab Area.
Additional Info
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, Communications, or related field).
- 8+ years’ experience in test and validation for complex machine or autonomous systems.
- 3+ years’ hands-on experience with dSPACE/Scalexio HIL systems, IO Simulink modelling, Control Desk configuration, dynasty models, and Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe).
- Exposure to AI tools (Loke copilot) for test development/review, automated test frameworks, and simulation tools.
- Experience in Agile (SAFe) teams; familiarity with Azure DevOps/GitHub.

- Supports/reviews test cases of global validation engineers.
- Interprets schematics, hardware design; develops/maintains HIL benches.
- Optimizes test case creation/execution using AI and automation.

- Discovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware/software/application problems.
- Analyzes logs and systems for advanced troubleshooting.
- Handles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility.
- Records/reports defects and troubleshooting processes/tools.
