Automation Test Lead

As an Automation Test Lead at our company, your role will involve designing, coding, and scaling automation frameworks, particularly focusing on Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter. Your expertise in JavaScript-driven automation frameworks will be crucial as you embed test automation into Guidewire delivery lifecycles. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical leadership skills and a keen focus on end-to-end automation engineering for enterprise insurance platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Lead automation strategy for Guidewire programs, ensuring alignment with business-critical insurance workflows. - Design, develop, and maintain JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO) customized for Guidewire applications. - Create reusable libraries/utilities for automation of Guidewire UI, API, and integration layers. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate shift-left testing across Guidewire releases. - Collaborate with Guidewire developers, QA team, and business SMEs to identify automation opportunities and maximize coverage. - Engage in hands-on coding, conduct code reviews, and enhance automation frameworks. - Troubleshoot automation issues related to Guidewire workflows, integrations, and upgrades. - Mentor and guide junior testers in JavaScript-based automation for Guidewire. - Provide stakeholders with dashboards and reports on automation health, defect leakage, and coverage. Required Skills: - Proven hands-on experience automating Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter). - Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO. - Sound understanding of Guidewire architecture, UI flows, API services, and integrations. - Experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or SuperTest. - Proficiency in Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI). - Thorough knowledge of SDLC/STLC, Agile delivery practices, and test strategy design. - Strong debugging and root-cause analysis abilities. - Leadership skills with the capacity to mentor teams while maintaining deep technical expertise. Good To Have: - Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or k6. - Experience with Guidewire Cloud testing and automation in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). - Familiarity with cloud test platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm. - ISTQB or advanced automation certifications.,
