The Engineer, Automation is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. This role involves building and maintaining test automation frameworks, creating and executing test scripts, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and analyzing test results. They collaborate with development teams, identify test requirements, and mentor junior engineers. They also fully leverage AI stack to enhance and streamline the testing process.

The scope of the Sr. Engineer, Automation role includes designing, developing, and implementing automated tests that go beyond traditional QA and into the AI realm of model behavior, fairness and robustness. The primary goal of this role is to increase the speed of test execution, maximize automated coverage, extend product test coverage, facilitate early detection of defects, reduce errors and complexity in the test process, and provide predictability in the R&D delivery process.

• Perform test planning, create and execute automation scripts, understand and communicate test results and risks, as part of the product delivery process
• Maintain and enhance the automation testing framework
• Provide responsible input to release planning activities
• Define test requirements for each new release, based on participation in scrum team activities to understand product plans and direction
• Identify and execute shift-left strategies, in collaboration with developers to identify defects and quality risks earlier in the release process
• Participate with Quality Engineering Leadership on improving quality engineering processes
• Coach and mentor scrum teams on defined quality engineering processes
• Participate in automation code reviews and provide quality-driven feedback.

Work Experience

• 3+ Years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience
• 2+ Years of automation script development in Python
• 1+ Years of other object-oriented programming experience, C#/.NET preferred
• 2+ Years of Selenium-BDD experience, preferred
• 3+ years of SQL
• 23+ years ETL Testing
• AI/ML model testing experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and experience testing in a cloud native environment
• Supply chain industry expertise preferred
