Job Description

Role Purpose

  

Assistant Category Manager

 

GTM delivery

 

intersection of brands, markets, and channels

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Brand Partnering

  • Act as the main contact for

    brand principals

    – building trust and alignment.
  • Support

    new launches and innovation rollouts

    in coordination with RegNova and the supply chain.
  • Draft

    solution overviews

    for new brands under evaluation.
  • Manage

    portfolio lifecycle

    – SKU reviews, pricing/pack updates, and optimization.

 

Market & Channel Execution

 

  • Work with

    Gateway market teams

    (anchor) or

    distributors/importers

    (allied) to ensure strong execution.
  • Drive

    channel-specific strategies

    across modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, and Rx.
  • Deploy

    marketing and visibility assets

    across channels.
  • Support demand planning and stock flow with supply chain teams.

 

Performance & Insights

  

  • Track

    category sales and trade spend ROI

    .
  • Review

    channel and retailer performance

    and recommend actions.
  • Partner with the Insights team to bring in

    shopper and competitor learnings

    .
  • Share insights with principals to guide

    innovation and growth planning

    .

 

Collaboration & Team Support

 

  • Work with

    finance teams

    to ensure profitability and spending discipline.
  • Liaise with

    RegNova

    for compliance and product readiness.
  • Coordinate with

    channel marketing

    to deliver shopper-first activations.
  • Guide and mentor supporting

    executives

    for seamless category delivery.


  

Experience & Qualifications

 

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

  • Strong ability to work in

    cross-functional teams

    across markets.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using sales and performance data.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • 3–6 years in

    FMCG, consumer health, or beauty categories

    , ideally across trade marketing, category management, or channel sales.
  • Hands-on exposure to

    multi-channel execution

    (Modern Trade, E-commerce, GT, or Rx).
  • Experience liaising with

    brand principals, distributors, or retailers

    preferred.
