REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Atlassian platforms (Jira, JSM, Confluence), primarily in Atlassian Data Center environments.
• Deep technical expertise in Atlassian architecture, clustering, performance tuning, and high availability setups.
• Strong experience with underlying databases, infrastructure, and system integrations.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Groovy, Python, REST APIs) for platform optimization and operational efficiency.
• Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices.
• Experience managing platform upgrades, integrations, and licensing at enterprise scale.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams across multiple time zones.
• Atlassian certifications (ACP, Data Center certifications) are preferred.
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud migration and SaaS optimization is a plus.
  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary owner and administrator of Atlassian platforms including Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence across global teams.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of Atlassian Data Center environments.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for complex platform issues.
• Implement proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to prevent system outages.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, scripting, and process optimization.
• Govern platform upgrades, integrations, configurations, and license management.
• Define and enforce platform standards, security controls, and best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business needs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior administrators and support teams.
• Support and contribute to Atlassian cloud migration initiatives and SaaS optimization strategies.
