Why This Role Matters
As GoKwik continues to scale, ensuring a smooth, seamless onboarding experience for our merchant partners is mission-critical. This role is part of our Payments & BNPL charter, responsible for owning the merchant onboarding lifecycle — from KYC assistance to activation and recoveries. You’ll be the face and voice of GoKwik for our partners, playing a pivotal role in driving merchant satisfaction and operational excellence.
What You’ll Own
Merchant Onboarding & Activation
- Contact and assist merchants through the end-to-end onboarding process for our payment gateway
- Explain KYC/documentation requirements and ensure timely and accurate submission
- Follow up with merchants to resolve onboarding issues and accelerate activation timelines
Support & Coordination
- Provide real-time support and guidance to merchants during onboarding
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical or operational issues quickly
- Track onboarding milestones and ensure data accuracy in internal systems
Recoveries & Compliance
- Follow up with merchants for collections and outstanding recoveries
- Ensure compliance with internal KYC and regulatory norms
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and merchant records
Communication & Customer Delight
- Deliver a merchant-first experience with clear, professional communication
- Proactively identify and address pain points during onboarding
- Handle ad-hoc requests and support tasks with agility and ownership
Who You Are
- 1–4 years of experience in merchant onboarding, telecalling, customer support, or fintech operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills to manage cross-functional dependencies
- Basic understanding of payment gateway workflows, banking/KYC norms, and onboarding processes
