Job Description

As Associate Director Portfolio Management you will have an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of Novartis Next Generation Customer Engagement transformation. You will oversee a portfolio of related products, ensuring strategic alignment, coordinated execution, and delivery of business value at scale. Acting as the bridge between strategy and product execution, a program manager will set priorities, manage an integrated roadmap and deliver scaled solutions, and facilitate cross-team collaboration to achieve portfolio objectives.

Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Planning Portfolio Alignment Lead portfolio-level planning and roadmap definition, ensuring product strategies translate into clear outcomes, success criteria, and aligned priorities.

Establish Govern Operating Frameworks Create and maintain governance models, decision-making forums, and information channels (e.g., intranet, dashboards) that enable transparency, consistency, and accountability.

Oversee Cross-Product Harmonization Manage end-to-end portfolio integration, from planning and scoping to release and post-launch, coordinating timelines, dependencies, and resources across teams.

Ensure Customer Value Standards Embed customer value and compliance with product delivery, applying agreed standards, metrics, and KPIs to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement Connect product managers, DDIT, marketing, and leadership; foster collaboration; escalate risks; and align decision-making across functions.

Monitor Risks Performance Identify risks early, mitigate challenges, and hold Product Owners accountable for outcomes, ensuring the portfolio delivers value reliably and predictably.

OKRs and Portfolio Planning Governance Define and drive the governance for portfolio, OKR, and roadmap reviews refining approach based on feedback. Aligning all teams to unified OKRs portfolio objectives

Institutionalize Integrated product planning and governance across the Marketing Technology Platforms portfolio and enable full transparency value-based decision-making

Essential Requirements

14+ years of experience working on large, complex projects across regions and countries; Proven experience in product portfolio management, program management, process improvements, agile delivery, and cross-functional leadership.

Experience with and understanding of multiple technology platforms that relate to Marketing Platform Technologies CRM, Web Platforms, Marketing Automation Platforms, Content Platforms

Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing senior level conversations

Understanding of agile product delivery

Strong communication skills and ability to offer simple explanation of complexity, drive alignment.

Strong collaborative skills and natural curiosity
