Associate Director / Manager – Oil & Gas (Chemicals & Petrochemicals)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an exceptional Associate Director / Manager to lead initiatives in the chemicals and petrochemicals industry. The candidate will be responsible for driving sector growth, supporting strategic initiatives, and engaging with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify new opportunities in specialty chemicals, bulk chemicals, agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, green/renewable chemicals, biochemicals and Petrochemicals.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with clients, develop and scale up the chemicals & petrochemicals business.
• Develop and execute plans to support growth and innovation in the chemicals and petrochemicals sector.
• Work with clients to address their operational and strategic challenges such as improvement of productivity and performance, supply chain & logistics, cost optimization, product diversification, and process and competitor benchmarking.
• Prepare detailed project proposals, carry out commercial due diligence and valuation, techno-commercial feasibility studies, prepare business plan, and market strategy formulation.
• Keep a track of market trends, supply-demand forecasts, pricing dynamics, and global developments.
• Business acumen including a solid grasp of commercial strategy, corporate finance, and financial modelling.
• Exceptional articulation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive discussions at senior levels.
• Experience in leading a cross-functional team of Sr. Consultants/Consultants.
• Go-getter with a self-driven mindset and ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-impact consulting environment.
• Additional experience in LPG, Liquid Petroleum/Hydrocarbon Products, Natural Gas/LNG, Green Hydrogen & its derivatives and/or Biofuels is preferred.

Required Qualification:

MBA or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related domain.

Experience:

• 12+ years of professional experience in the chemicals and/or petrochemicals sector.
• Background in consulting (atleast 5 years) and strategy is essential.
