In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of Shopify solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients, including B2C, B2B, and POS implementations. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure high-quality Shopify experiences are delivered on time and within scope. Key responsibilities Establish and maintain coding best practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of developers, ensuring continuous improvement in technical skills and adherence to project goals. Create technical proofs-of-concept and vertical slices to validate architectural approaches. Develop custom Shopify themes and apps, integrating with third-party systems such as OMS, ERP, CRM, PIM, and marketing platforms to support complex eCommerce needs. Continuously optimize site performance, ensuring fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and SEO best practices. Requirements What you bring to the table Minimum 8 years of professional experience working with Shopify in an agency or brand environment. A strong portfolio of Shopify stores developed, including custom apps, themes, and integrations. Proficiency in Shopify Plus, Shopify APIs, Liquid, Hydrogen, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Node.js. Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs. Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices, performance optimization, and SEO. Gain internal buy-in of project and proposal plans, take Ownership and navigate the opportunity to sale. Support the review of project details, including cost review, with business and executive management. • Lead Commercial Project Readiness (CPR) meetings to evaluate plans for transfer of material and services during the course of a project between UOP, vendors and customers, from local and international taxation and law compliance perspective • Incorporate equipment improvements and innovations into standard proposal costs and design details.
