Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Employee Life Cycle Management

Manage end-to-end HR operations at the plant, including onboarding, induction, transfers, and exits.

Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and payroll-related inputs in coordination with

corporate HR.

Oversee contract workforce management and ensure compliance with applicable labour laws.

2. Employee Relations & Compliance

Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters at the plant.

Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution in a fair and timely manner.

Ensure statutory and legal compliance (Factories Act, Labour Laws, Shops & Establishments, Contract Labour,

etc.).

Coordinate with government authorities and maintain all statutory registers and returns.

3. Performance Management & Talent Development

Facilitate the performance management cycle, ensuring timely goal-setting, mid-year, and annual reviews.

Identify skill gaps and coordinate training & development programs in collaboration with L&D.

Support succession planning and career development initiatives for plant employees.

4. Employee Engagement & Welfare

Drive employee engagement programs, welfare activities, and communication forums to enhance morale

and retention.

Implement company-level cultural and recognition programs (e.g., SSOM, Employee of the Month, etc.).

Manage health, safety, and welfare programs for employees and contract workers.

5. HR Analytics & Reporting

Prepare HR dashboards, reports, and metrics for management review.

Track key HR KPIs (attrition, absenteeism, manpower utilization, training hours, etc.).

Provide insights to support business decisions through data-driven HR analysis.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare

Partner with the Safety team to ensure adherence to safety standards and employee welfare provisions.

Drive health & hygiene initiatives and periodic medical check-ups.

Oversee canteen, transportation, and other welfare facilities.

7. Coordination with Corporate HR

Align with corporate HR policies and ensure smooth implementation at the plant level.

Coordinate for audits, HR initiatives, and organizational development projects.

Preferred candidate profile

Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager HR

  • MBA HR / MSW / PGDMIR
  • 10+ years of HR experience in manufacturing sector (Automotive, Engineering, FMCG preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR processes, and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
