Position Overview:

As the Vice President for the Strategic Partnerships Department, you will lead and drive the growth and success of the organization by spearheading strategic partnerships with stakeholders in the education-focused large NGOs sector. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing and elevating fund raising efforts, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, engaging with corporate foundations, government partnerships, proposal writing, scholarships, mentorship programs, and business development. Your exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to foster collaboration will be critical to achieving and exceeding organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with education-focused large NGOs to expand the organization's reach and impact.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.

Fund Raising:

  • Lead fundraising efforts by developing innovative strategies to secure financial support from various sources, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Develop and implement fundraising campaigns and initiatives to meet the organization's financial goals.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

  • Collaborate with corporations to design and implement impactful CSR initiatives that align with the organization's mission and values
  • Cultivate relationships with corporate partners to maximize support and engagement.

Government Partnerships:

  • Identify and engage with relevant government agencies to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
  • Develop proposals and presentations to showcase the organization's initiatives and seek support from government entities.

Proposal Writing:

  • Prepare compelling proposals and grant applications to secure funding from various sources, including foundations, trusts, and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement effective mentorship initiatives.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic alliances, and partnerships to expand the organization's presence and impact in the education sector.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the strategic partnerships team to ensure effective execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree, preferably an MBA, in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in strategic partnerships, fund raising, CSR, and business development, preferably within the education-focused large NGOs sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective proposal writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to achieve partnership goals.
  • Empathetic and collaborative approach to leadership and team management.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to address challenges and seize opportunities.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
