Job Description

The Assistant to Manufacturing Head will provide high-level administrative, operational, and coordination support to ensure the smooth functioning of the manufacturing department. This role involves close interaction with various internal departments, managing communication, preparing MIS & reports, and maintaining accurate data to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Coordination & Communication

Act as the primary point of contact between the Manufacturing Head and other departments such as Production, Quality, Procurement, Maintenance, HR, and Logistics.
Facilitate timely information flow and follow-ups on pending tasks or decisions.
Schedule, organize, and coordinate departmental meetings, reviews, and plant visits.

2. MIS & Reporting

Prepare, consolidate, and present periodic MIS reports covering production performance, quality metrics, downtime, and other KPIs.
Track and highlight variances against plans or targets for management review.
Maintain a calendar for submission of all routine reports and ensure timely delivery.

3. Data Management

Maintain up-to-date databases related to production schedules, manpower allocation, machine utilization, and inventory status.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity for analysis and decision-making.
Support the implementation of data-driven processes and digital tools in manufacturing operations.

4. Administrative Support

Assist in drafting official communications, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage documentation, records, and filing systems in line with company standards.
Monitor action points from meetings and ensure timely closures.

5. Process Support & Follow-up

Support cross-functional initiatives led by the Manufacturing Head.
Follow up on operational priorities, project timelines, and compliance requirements.
Assist in preparing inputs for management reviews and audits.
