What this job involves:
Seeking an experienced and client-centric Assistant Technical Manager to lead our facilities management team in managing and maintaining our office buildings. As an Assistant Technical Manager at JLL, you will have a strong grasp of client satisfaction with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions that improve systems, save costs, and ensure a safe and healthy environment for occupants. This role requires you to serve as an engineering and facilities management expert while fostering strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors. You will manage multiple sites and projects while guiding and mentoring team members, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence that directly contributes to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional facility management solutions and creating transformative experiences for our clients.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Manage and maintain mechanical, electrical, and MEP systems including HVAC, lighting, and water supply systems
Oversee the maintenance and repair of building equipment including elevators, generators, and fire suppression systems
Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and costs while conducting regular safety inspections
Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and client projects while collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors
Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions while continuously improving systems to save costs for clients
Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients while developing and implementing innovative facility solutions
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the facilities management team while boosting staff satisfaction and morale
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and customer service while developing training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in engineering and facilities management with strong technical knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, lighting, and water supply
Experience managing and maintaining building equipment including elevators, generators, and fire suppression systems
Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to guide and mentor facilities management team members
Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, architects, engineers, and contractors
Experience developing and managing budgets for maintenance, repairs, and client projects with cost-saving initiative implementation
Knowledge of energy-efficient solutions and sustainability practices for reducing consumption and operational costs
Ability to conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance issues with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field
Experience managing multiple sites and projects simultaneously with proven track record in client satisfaction
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements for office buildings
Experience developing and implementing training programs for facilities management teams
Background in innovative solution development with ability to think laterally and deliver creative facility improvements
Familiarity with facility management software systems and technology platforms for operational efficiency.
