Assistant Team Leader

Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting the Team Leader in managing day-to-day workshop operations for Commercial Vehicle Division (CVD). Ensures smooth workflow, vehicle service quality, manpower utilization, and customer satisfaction in line with Tata Motors standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of technicians and service staff in the CVD workshop.

Assist the Team Leader in planning and scheduling preventive maintenance, repairs, and breakdown jobs.

Ensure proper diagnosis and rectification of vehicle complaints within defined timelines.

Monitor job card flow, ensure quality repair standards, and maintain zero repeat complaints.

Support in managing manpower allocation, attendance, and technical training of technicians.

Verify completion of PMS, warranty, and free service activities as per Tata Motors guidelines.

Ensure adherence to 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop.

Coordinate with parts, service advisors, and customer relations teams for timely job completion.

Maintain records of daily productivity, efficiency, and job performance reports.

Assist in conducting periodic performance appraisals and motivate the team to achieve workshop KPIs (TAT, FTR, Productivity, Customer Delight Index).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicle aggregates (engine, transmission, chassis, electrical systems).

Leadership and team coordination skills.

Customer handling and communication abilities.

Proficiency in workshop documentation and Tata Motors DMS systems.

Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Qualification & Experience:

Diploma or btech Mechanical Engineering .

3–6 years of experience in commercial vehicle workshop operations (preferably Tata Motors network)

Pay: ₹11,611.73 - ₹44,970.61 per month
