Job Description

Assistant / Senior Manager – Freight Forwarding (Customer Service & Pricing)

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Operations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, shipment updates, and issue resolutions.
  • Oversee end-to-end documentation and coordination for import and export shipments (Air & Ocean).
  • Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and overseas agents to ensure seamless operations.
  • Proactively track shipments and share timely updates.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, service levels, and compliance standards.
  • Handle escalations and resolve service-related challenges efficiently.
  • Support account management by maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Prepare MIS reports and share operational insights with internal stakeholders.

Pricing & Commercials

  • Manage pricing, quotation review, and finalization in collaboration with Sales and Account Management teams.
  • Develop and maintain pricing tools, profitability models, and cost analyses.
  • Lead RFQs and pricing projects, ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Monitor market trends, input costs, and margin performance to optimize pricing decisions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Present monthly pricing insights, trends, and recommendations to management.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    Freight Forwarding operations (Air & Ocean, Import & Export)

    .
  • Sound understanding of

    international shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs clearance

    .
  • Expertise in

    pricing, RFQ handling, and vendor management

    .
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Office and freight forwarding/ERP systems

    .
  • Customer-focused, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in

    Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Commerce, or Finance

    .
  • MBA – Finance

    preferred.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in

    Freight Forwarding / Logistics

    , including exposure to

    Customer Service and Pricing

    .
