Job Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure an excellent dining experience for guests. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining service standards, handling customer concerns, and ensuring smooth operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations (front-of-house and back-of-house).
• Ensure high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and ensure stock availability.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver quality service.
• Prepare staff schedules and manage shift assignments.
• Support in conducting performance evaluations and coaching team members.

Customer Service

• Greet guests and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Financial & Administrative Tasks

• Assist with daily cash handling and register reconciliation.
• Support in meeting revenue goals and controlling operational costs.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Health & Safety

• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Support staff in understanding and implementing safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant software is a plus.
