Assistant Project Manager - Livelihood

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager will play a key leadership role in operationalizing and scaling the Livelihood initiatives under the organization's umbrella. The position will provide critical support to the Head of Livelihood in ensuring the successful delivery of both project-based interventions (like SHG-based enterprises, climate-smart villages, fisheries, orchards) and standalone for-profit ventures (branded products under B.Bindi).

This includes a dual focus:

1. Project Execution & Oversight

2. Commercial Product Development & Sales Enablement

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program & Project Management

● Assist in planning, implementation, and monitoring of multiple livelihood projects across geographies (Rajasthan, Orissa, J&K, Ladakh, Bengaluru, Bokaro, etc.)

● Coordinate with project teams on field implementation, deliverables, and timelines

● Ensure alignment of all initiatives with the overall value chain cluster-based approach

● Oversee training, mobilization, and management of field teams

2. Producer Organization & SHG Integration

● Support formation, registration, and strengthening of SHGs, FPOs, and cooperatives

● Facilitate access to market and credit linkages through partner institutions and government schemes

● Integrate tech partners (like PyFarm, Aumsat, Krishiyukta) in producer organization workflows

3. For-Profit Product Line (B.Bindi Enterprises)

● Work closely with the product teams on developing and marketing B.Bindi's product range:
o Ghee, Masala, Amritchuran

o Honey, Pickles, Jams, Dried Fish, Detergents, etc.

● Ensure FSSAI compliance and standardized branding (Jivika/B.Bindi)

● Identify new market-ready product ideas (e.g. Ragi Biscuits, Rice Puff)

4. Sales & Marketing

● Manage listings on B2B platforms like IndiaMart and Exporter India

● Collaborate with external aggregators and traders for demand generation

● Develop product placement strategy around the “Five Elements” framework

● Create and oversee marketing material, pricing models, and go-to-market plans

5. Tech Integration & Innovation

● Identify and onboard agri-tech, climate-tech, and supply chain partners (e.g. Villgro, Reheja Solar, Rukart)

● Integrate digital tools for productivity tracking, quality control, and MIS reporting

● Supervise the listing of available production machines on the organization's platform

6. Reporting & Coordination

● Maintain detailed reports of project and product KPIs

● Represent the department in internal meetings and external reviews

● Liaise with other verticals (finance, compliance, partnerships) for smooth operations

Who Can Apply?

● This role is open to:

● B.E. or B. Tech, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Rural Development, MBA, Agri-Business, or similar

● 3–5 years of experience in development programs, preferably in livelihood, FPO, or social enterprise settings

● Strong team management and project coordination skills

● Business acumen in marketing, sales, and product management

● Working knowledge of agri value chains and government livelihood schemes

● Fluency in Hindi and English; regional languages are a plus

● Willingness to travel extensively to field locations

● Ability to balance development outcomes with commercial sustainability

● Experience in working with multi-stakeholder platforms (SHGs, NGOs, Corporates, Government)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
