Assistant Manager - Supply Chain

Our client is a leading manufacturer of lifestyle consumer products, having operations in India and markets its products across 15 countries.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will manage comprehensive sourcing, procurement, and logistics activities, enabling cost-effective and efficient supply chain operations. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and logistics partners, ensuring timely and quality supply of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and value.
• Lead negotiations with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain processplanning, procurement, transportation, and delivery of goods, ensuring smooth operations across all functions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, monitoring their performance and addressing issues proactively.
• Issue purchase orders accurately and timely, maintaining proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.
• Coordinate with logistic service partners for import/export operations, including verification of Bill of Lading (BL), Bill of Entry (BOE), and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate

• Any graduate with 4-6 years of proven experience in product sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
• Strong negotiation capabilities, with direct experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and facilitate data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
