dynamic Assistant Manager – Supplier Development & Sourcing

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end supplier development for 

  machined parts

  , 

  plastics

  , 

  sheet metal

  , 

  rubber

  , 

  springs

  , 

  forgings

  , 

  castings (PDC, SGI)

  , and 

  electrical components

  .
• Drive 

  supplier identification

  , audits, qualification, and development across 

  domestic and global markets

  .
• Manage 

  RFQs, RFPs

  , cost breakdowns (ZBC, should-costing), and commercial negotiations.
• Track 

  raw material indexes

   (e.g., Nalco, CIAM, steel, copper, aluminium) for cost intelligence and proactive negotiations.
• Ensure supplier compliance to 

  APQP, PPAP, Run@Rate

  , and 

  IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3 / ISO 9001

   requirements.
• Implement 

  strategic sourcing

   initiatives — supplier consolidation, localization, and long-term contracts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally for 

  tooling & capacity planning

   and new project sourcing.
• Monitor supplier performance (

  OTD, PPM, cost competitiveness

  ) and drive improvements.
• Stay updated on 

  global sourcing trends

  , commodity prices, and currency fluctuations.
• Improve procurement processes using 

  digital tools

  , dashboards, and structured reporting.

Requirements:

• B.E. / B.Tech in 

  Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

   (mandatory).

• 4–6 years

   of relevant experience in 

  automotive supplier development & sourcing

   with multi-commodity exposure.
• Hands-on experience with 

  APQP, PPAP, supplier audits

  , and 

  ERP systems

   (SAP / Tally ERP / equivalent).
• Exposure to 

  strategic sourcing

   and 

  global sourcing

   is a plus.
• Strong 

  negotiation

  , costing, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent 

  communication

   and 

  analytical

   abilities with advanced Excel skills.
• Willingness to 

  travel

   (domestic and international if required).
