Role & responsibilities Job Title: Assistant Manager Domestic (Aroma Chemicals) Department: Sales & Marketing Location: Pune/ Mumbai Reporting To: Manager – Sales (Domestic) / Head – Business Development Experience Required: 5–8 years in domestic sales/marketing of aroma or specialty chemicals Job Purpose: To drive and support domestic sales of aroma chemicals by managing customer relationships, exploring new business opportunities, and ensuring timely order execution, all while aligning with company goals and market demands. Key Responsibilities: Sales Development: Manage and grow existing domestic customer accounts in the aroma chemicals segment. Identify new business opportunities across perfumery, fragrance, F&F, and allied sectors. Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the key point of contact for domestic customers; address inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction. Conduct regular client visits and virtual meetings for business development. Order & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with the planning, dispatch, and logistics teams for timely delivery and order fulfillment. Track order status and ensure proactive communication with clients. Market Intelligence & Reporting: Collect and report data on market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and demand. Provide inputs for pricing strategy and new product launches. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure proper documentation of sales orders, client communications, and commercial terms. Assist in credit control, payment follow-up, and statutory compliance (GST, invoicing, etc.). Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D, QC, and Production for technical inputs, sample dispatches, and product customization as per client requirements. Key Requirements: Education: B.Sc./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Chemistry or related field + MBA in Marketing (preferred) Experience: 5–8 years in domestic sales/marketing of aroma chemicals or allied industries Skills: Good understanding of aroma chemicals, their applications, and market segments Strong communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and ERP systems Ability to travel across India as per business needs Preferred Industry Background: Aroma chemicals, fragrance & flavor industry, essential oils, specialty chemicals, or chemical trading companies
