To strengthen our procurement function, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager – Purchase with strong expertise in construction materials, ERP systems, and vendor management. Role Overview As the Assistant Manager – Purchase, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations, vendor coordination, ERP-based purchase management, and ensuring the timely availability of materials for ongoing infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services in alignment with project budgets and timelines. Handle procurement transactions through ERP systems, ensuring accuracy in documentation, approvals, and reporting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, market prices, and vendor capabilities to ensure quality and cost optimization. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors; evaluate vendor performance and address delivery or quality concerns. Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure timely delivery and compliance with company policies. Follow up regularly with vendors, project sites, and internal departments to maintain material flow and prevent project delays. Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to achieve favorable procurement terms. Compile and present regular reports on purchase activities, material requirements, and vendor performance. Coordinate with project sites to understand material needs and support smooth supply chain operations. Undertake any additional procurement-related duties assigned by management. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum 5-10years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector. Strong working knowledge of construction materials, ERP systems, and procurement workflows. Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills. Strong follow-up ability, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle multiple priorities.
