hands-on Assistant Manager – Purchase / Supplier Development & Sourcing

What You’ll Do

• Develop & manage suppliers for

  machined parts

  ,

  plastics

  ,

  sheet metal

  ,

  rubber

  ,

  springs

  ,

  forgings

  ,

  castings (PDC, SGI)

  , and

  electrical components

  .
• Lead

  supplier identification

  , audits, qualification & development (domestic & global).
• Handle

  RFQs, RFPs

  , cost breakdowns (should-costing / ZBC) & commercial negotiations.
• Track & analyse

  raw material indexes

  (Nalco, CIAM, steel, copper, aluminium) to build cost intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with

  APQP, PPAP, Run@Rate

  , and

  IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3 / ISO 9001

  standards.
• Execute

  strategic sourcing

  initiatives — supplier consolidation, localization & long-term contracts.
• Support

  tooling & capacity planning

  with Engineering & Quality teams.
• Monitor supplier

  OTD, PPM & cost competitiveness

  and drive improvements.
• Stay updated on

  global sourcing trends

  , commodity price movements & currency fluctuations.
• Enhance procurement processes using

  ERP (SAP / Tally)

  , Excel dashboards & digital tools.

What We’re Looking For

• B.E./B.Tech in

  Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

  (mandatory).

• 4–6 years

  of relevant experience in

  automotive purchase, sourcing or supplier development

  .
• Strong exposure to

  multi-commodity procurement

  (mechanical + electrical).
• Experience with

  APQP / PPAP / supplier audits

  & ERP systems.
• Excellent

  negotiation

  ,

  costing

  &

  supplier relationship

  skills.
• Strong analytical abilities & advanced Excel proficiency.
• Willingness to

  travel

  for supplier visits (domestic & international).
• Exposure to

  strategic sourcing

  /

  global sourcing

  is a plus.
