About the Organisation:

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centres is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500 odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha and in Hyderabad.

Your role in supplementing the Organisational goals:

1.Employer Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Assist in generating and maintaining local employer networks through calls, emails, and follow-ups.
  • Support in building and nurturing working relationships with employers.
  • Undertake field visits and basic market scans to identify local and mid-sized employers.
  • Contribute to hyperlocal placements by connecting with employers to source opportunities for PCMC Lighthouse centres.

2. Placement Strategy & Execution

  • Coordinate in-house placement drives and job fairs with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support in achieving youth placement targets by aligning students with company requirements.
  • Assist in pre-placement profiling and lining up students as per employer needs.
  • Facilitate pre-placement talks, orientation sessions, and follow-ups with employers and youth.
  • Conduct one-to-one youth interactions for interview preparation and job screening under supervision.
  • Call and follow up with youths to track their employment status and address concerns.

3. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain and update placement-related data regularly.
  • Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly reports with the team.
  • Document placement tie-ups and keep the recruiter database updated.
  • Track youth placement progress across stages (profile ready → Interview → placed → retained).

4. Special Focus Areas

  • Hyperlocal Placements: Assist in identifying and sourcing job opportunities across all PMC Lighthouse centres.
  • Youth Preparation: Engage with youth one-to-one for basic screening, interview readiness, and employability support.
  • Centre Support: Assist Lighthouse centres in other operational or placement-related tasks when required. Calling Youths/ Readiness Check etc

Who We Are Looking For

  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree (preferred) in Development Studies, HR, Training, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in Placements/Corporate Relations, preferably in an NGO or youth skilling setup.
  • Familiarity with local employers and job aggregators in the Pune region.
  • Exposure to employability skills, job placement, or vocational training programs is an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills, confident communicator, and youth-friendly personality.
  • Flexible to manage extended working hours when required.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and follow processes under guidance.
