Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and youth-centric professional to support employer engagement, placement operations, and centre-level employability initiatives across PMC Lighthouse centres.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employer Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Assist in generating and maintaining a network of local employers through calls, emails, and follow-ups.
  • Support relationship building with employers and recruiters.
  • Conduct field visits and market scans to identify local and mid-sized companies.
  • Contribute to hyperlocal placements by sourcing opportunities relevant to PCMC Lighthouse centres.

2. Placement Strategy & Execution

  • Coordinate in-house placement drives and job fairs with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support in meeting placement targets by aligning youth profiles with employer requirements.
  • Conduct pre-placement profiling and schedule students as per employer needs.
  • Facilitate pre-placement talks, orientation sessions, and follow-ups with employers and youth.
  • Assist with one-to-one youth interactions for interview preparation and screening.
  • Call and follow up with youth to track employment status and resolve concerns.

3. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain updated records of all placement-related data.
  • Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly placement reports.
  • Document new placement partnerships and keep the recruiter database updated.
  • Track youth progress across the placement lifecycle (profile ready → interview → placed → retained).

4. Special Focus Areas

  • Hyperlocal Placements: Support identification and sourcing of job opportunities across PMC centres.
  • Youth Preparation: Conduct one-to-one interactions for interview readiness and employability support.
  • Centre Support: Assist Lighthouse centres with placement and operational tasks, including youth readiness checks and follow-up calls.

Who We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree, preferably in Development Studies, HR, Training, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in Placements/Corporate Relations, ideally within an NGO or youth skilling ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with local employers and job aggregators in the Pune region.
  • Experience with employability skills or vocational training programs is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; youth-friendly and confident.
  • Comfortable working with deadlines and structured processes.
  • Flexibility to manage extended working hours when required.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
