JFC is a subsidiary of DKT International, Washington DC. JFC provides high quality family planning and sexual health products and services across 20 states in India. JFC’s mission is to increase access to contraception and other family planning products by leveraging existing public and private sector channels. We achieve this through building brands, a rigorous approach to sales and marketing with a constant focus on process and cost-efficiencies in line with market demands and feedback. JFC uses commercial sales and marketing techniques to achieve a social benefit. JFC is looking for a legal professional having excellent knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations in the industry and jurisdiction is necessary, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The candidate should have effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills which are very important for this role. Furthermore, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, attention to detail and accuracy, teamwork, and basic life skills, as well as and strategic thinking are all necessary qualifications for this position. Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include- · Drafting of new contract and all letters/correspondence from HR to stakeholders. · Review and negotiation of issue in the organisation. · Leading the company's litigation. · Ensuring compliance of intellectual property (IP).- (copyrights. Trademarks, patents and trade secrets) · Ensuring compliance of labour and employment law. · Managing relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other stakeholders as necessary for legal matters. · Compliance with laws and regulations like- Hiring and onboarding procedures, Employee benefits regulations, Provident Fund, ESIC, Workplace safety laws and Keeping employee information private. · Legal risk management and corporate governance. Required Qualification · Bachelor's degree in law,(LL.B) a license to practice law, and three plus years of experience as a lawyer or a legal officer in a corporate firm will be an added advantage. Key Competencies: Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively. Strategic Thinking : Ability to think creatively and critically about communications strategies and initiatives. Collaboration : Proven ability to work cross-functionally with different departments and teams. Crisis Management : Ability to manage communication during a crisis or sensitive situation effectively. Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
