Job Description

This role is responsible for retaining and garnering market share in the Ceilings business based at Cochin catering to entire Kerala market. Ensuring awareness among our customers with promotional activities. Expanding customer base with new Key Accounts in new territories and ensuring statutory compliance for smooth functioning of daily business.

Role & responsibilities

  • Achieve sales target:

    Responsible for project sales business for the assigned territory. Proper forecasting, building up project pipelines, & achievement of Sales as well as specification budgets.

  • Business Development:

    Identify new opportunities for conversion; convert the identified opportunities into revenue generating business.

  • Key Account management:

    Involved in customer initiatives & technical engagement (for selected accounts). Generating & driving specifications for all architectural products through Architects, Clients, PMCs, and Turnkey contractors across the assigned territory as well as for other regions.

  • Market development activities:

    Identifying and driving business development activities for growth in new products, segments, and applications for the Key accounts.

  • Market Intelligence:

    Gather information on competitions activity through legitimate market sources and through information available on public domain to analyze & take steps to increase Saint-Gobains ceilings market share.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / BE (Mech, Civil & Electrical) / MBA (Marketing) with

    4- 8 years of relevant experience

    in Sales & Marketing.
  • Strong understanding of

    Sales function

    with proven track record in the

    Building Material Industry

    or related segments catering to a similar customer base.
  • Experience in

    Key Account Management

    of Architects, Builders, and Developers, along with handling

    large-scale projects

    in sectors such as Industrial, Healthcare, and Hospitality.
  • Excellent

    communication and interpersonal skills

    , with fluency in the

    local language

    being mandatory.
  • Strong

    networking ability

    and prior experience in engaging multiple stakeholders.
  • High-level

    persuasion and negotiation skills

    with a solution-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Customer-focused and collaborative approach

    while managing business relationships.
  • Sound understanding of

    engineering drawings, project management practices, and sustainability concepts

    related to the building and construction sector.
