Assistant Manager – HR Payroll & Admin

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end monthly payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and legal compliance.
• Responsible for managing employees attendance, leave management & admin work
• To execute annual employee engagement activities, as per the plans.
• HR data analytics and preparation of HR-MIS
• Maintain and update payroll information by collecting and entering data into HRMS/payroll systems.
• Verify salary calculations, deductions, bonuses, and leave records.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESI, TDS, Gratuity, LWF, and other labour laws.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance for inputs like attendance, new joiners, resignations, and salary revisions.
• Handle employee queries related to salary, payslips, taxes, and reimbursements.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll reports for management review.
• File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).
• Liaise with external auditors and government bodies as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information and employee records.

Required Qualifications:

• MBA/PGDM in HR preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, attendance & leaves management
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll regulations and statutory compliance.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with HRMS or ERP systems.
• Exposure to multi-state payroll (if applicable).

Working knowledge of income tax and other employee-related tax implications.
