Assistant Manager - Enterprise Search

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and optimizing onsite search experiences using Lucidworks and related tools.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of search rules, synonyms, templates, and search analytics dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the development and data teams to troubleshoot indexing, relevance tuning, and collection issues.
  • Help monitor and improve search performance based on user behavior and analytics insights.
  • Support day-to-day updates and search enhancements for websites.
  • Coordinate with product, content, and PIM teams to ensure accurate and structured data feeds into the search platform.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and assist with writing and refining user stories.
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvement to help streamline workflows and ensure consistent search delivery.

Required Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of internal site search platforms and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Exposure to tools like Lucidworks, Solr, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with data and drawing insights using tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and/or JSON for working with search pipelines (basic level acceptable).
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate across teams and explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Lucidworks.
  • Exposure to CMS tools such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
