Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    The Site Safety Engineer is responsible for cultivating a robust safety culture and enhancing the Safety Management System within project areas of solar manufacturing facilities. They conduct thorough EHS inspections and audits, identify environmental aspects and impacts, and ensure strict adherence to legal requirements and internal guidelines. Their role focuses on proactively managing safety initiatives to create a secure and compliant work environment, minimizing risks and promoting continuous improvement in safety standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Enhancing Safety Culture: - Foster and promote a strong safety culture within the solar manufacturing site, emphasizing the importance of safety among all employees and contractors. Safety Management System Enhancement - Improve and enhance the Safety Management System (SMS) at the project area, ensuring it effectively identifies, assesses, and mitigates safety risks. EHS Inspection and Audit - Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Aspects and Impacts Identification - Identify environmental aspects and impacts of operations within the project area, developing strategies to minimize environmental risks and enhance sustainability. Compliance Assurance - Ensure compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and internal guidelines related to occupational health, safety, and environmental practices. Incident Investigation and Reporting - Lead investigations into safety incidents and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Training and Development: - Develop and deliver training programs on safety procedures, hazard identification, emergency response, and environmental protection measures. Continuous Improvement: - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance, implementing best practices and lessons learned from incidents and audits. Key Stakeholders - Internal: - Project Managers - Operations Managers - Safety Committee Members Key Stakeholders - External: - Contractors and subcontractors - Regulatory authorities - Local community representatives
