The role of Plant Admin - Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager in the Power/Energy industry at Adani involves leading and managing the administrative functions of a large-scale power plant. This position demands a professional with a strong background in plant administration, capable of driving operational excellence and supporting seamless plant activities. The incumbent will collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with regulatory norms, manage vendor and contractor relationships, optimize resource utilization, and uphold Adanis core values of innovation, sustainability, and integrity. - Oversee daily administrative operations of the power plant ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Develop, implement, and monitor administrative policies and procedures aligned with Adanis corporate governance and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with multiple departments including Operations, Maintenance, HR, Safety, and Procurement to streamline plant activities and enhance operational efficiency. - Manage vendor and contractor relations, including negotiation of service contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Supervise and mentor the plant administration team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
- Lead facility management activities encompassing security, housekeeping, transportation, and utilities management within the plant premises.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to labor laws, environmental standards, safety protocols, and plant
-specific guidelines.
- Drive implementation of digital and automation tools in administrative processes to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on administrative performance, cost control, and operational challenges with actionable insights.
- Manage budgets related to administrative functions and ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality and standards. - Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives for administrative staff to upgrade skills in alignment with evolving business needs.
- Implement effective communication channels to maintain transparency between plant management, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Support emergency response planning and crisis management activities by ensuring administrative readiness and resource availability. - Uphold Adanis commitment to sustainability by integrating green practices in plant administration wherever feasible.
- Promote a positive work environment that aligns with Adanis values of safety, integrity, customer centricity, and innovation.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. - Masters degree or MBA in Operations/Administration is preferred.
8 to 15 years in Plant Administration within the Power/Energy sector, preferably with experience in large-scale thermal or renewable power projects.
