Job Summary:

Role & Responsibility

• Responsible for strategic planning and execution of all supply chain activities
• Good knowledge of supplier base in Gujarat and across India (Experience for bought out components will be additional advantage)
• Close coordination with other stakeholders for timely execution of Purchase strategy
• Vendor engagement abilities
• Supplier performance monitoring
• Vendor development for new products and localisation of products
• Vendor evaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Making rate contracts and supply agreements to suit our operational requirements.
• Closely monitor price drivers and keep re-negotiating the supplier prices to take full benefit of market factors.
• Vendor development for machined and fabricated components
• Understanding of drawings and technical specifications for bought out items
• Knowledge of sourcing tools to search new vendors for new items
• Exposure to Imports (EXIM) will be additional advantage
• Good knowledge of supplier base in Gujarat and across India for bought out components
  

Requirements Of The Jobholder

• Work Experience: 8 to 12 Years of relevant experience in heavy engineering company (Preferable concrete plant / pump manufacturing).
• Qualification: BE / B.Tech / Diploma
• Skills:
• Good Communication Skills
• Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Good planning abilities
• Exposure to SAP will be added advantage
• Analytical Skills
• Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Good command over MS. Office
• Strong Work Ethics
