Assistant Manager - Commercial

Purpose of the Role:

To ensure effective commercial operations through robust debtors management, accurate accounting, statutory compliance, and smooth coordination with customers, banks, and internal stakeholders, ensuring healthy cash flow and compliance with company policies

Key Responsibilities

Debtors Management & Receivables

Timely collection of outstanding receivables within defined credit periods.Regular follow-up on overdue accounts, especially above 90 days.Dealer visits for recovery and resolution of long-pending dues.Prevent accounts from moving into slow recovery or sticky status.

Accounting & Commercial Operations

Bill booking and processing in ERP.Accounting of receipts, payments, Credit Notes and Debit NotesMonthly provisioning and reconciliation of customer accountsMaintenance of accurate records and documentation

Customer Interaction

Regular coordination with dealers and key accounts for payment follow-ups and dispute resolutionMaintaining professional relationships for smooth transactions

Statutory Compliance GST & Customs

GST related working and compliance checksSupport in GST,VAT assessments and auditsUnderstanding of customs procedures and documentation

Banking & Cash Flow Management

Coordination with banks for payment processing and reconciliationsMonitoring daily cash position and assisting in cash flow planning

Reporting & MIS

Preparation of monthly collection and receivables ageing reportsSubmission of commercial MIS to managementInventory & Documentation ControlMonthly verification of stock deviations and breakagesEnsuring proper filing of invoices and commercial documents

Qualifications & Experience

B Com or M Com4 -7 years of relevant experience in Commercial Accounts function

Key Skills & Competencies

Experience in Marble Tiles Building Materials industry preferredStrong knowledge of Accounting & Commercial ProcessesDebtors & Credit Control ExpertiseGST & Basic Customs KnowledgeBanking & Financial DocumentationCustomer Handling & Negotiation SkillsERP Knowledge SAP, TallyPowered by Webbtree
