Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic

Assistant Manager – Business Development

to expand our PVC compounds business across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, established networks, and the ability to drive strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify new business opportunities in domestic and international markets for PVC compounds.
  • Research industry trends, competitor activities, and target sectors: wires & cables, automotive, footwear, profiles, pipes, injection molding, etc.
  • Generate leads through networking, trade exhibitions, industrial directories, and digital platforms.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with OEMs, converters, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Understand client requirements and recommend suitable PVC compound grades or customized solutions.
  • Conduct technical discussions with customers in coordination with R&D and technical teams.

Sales Execution & Negotiation

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close orders.
  • Track sales performance, follow-up on payments, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with production and R&D teams to support timely sample development and delivery.
  • Provide inputs on market demand, pricing trends, and product improvements.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry seminars.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare periodic reports, sales forecasts, competitor analysis, and market insights for management review.
  • Support marketing activities through technical presentations and customer engagement initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of PVC compounds, polymer applications, and industry dynamics.
  • Proven experience in business development or industrial sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and collaborate with technical/R&D teams.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with extensive travel.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Plastics/Polymer/Chemical Engineering; MBA in Marketing preferred.
  • Experience: 4–10 years in industrial sales or business development, ideally in PVC compounds or the broader polymer industry.
