Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for control panel wiring.
  
• Perform the physical assembly and wiring of control panels, ensuring proper cable routing and secure terminations.
  
• Operate and handle electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.
  
• Operate and handle mechanical testing equipment as required.
  
• Possess knowledge of drive line systems, including operation and basic troubleshooting.
  
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify faults, and implement effective solutions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Industry Experience:

  Proven experience in the manufacturing, assembly, or maintenance of firefighting vehicles, emergency response vehicles, or specialized utility vehicles.

• Technical Knowledge:

  Strong understanding of vehicle chassis integration, firefighting pumps, water/foam systems, PTO systems, control panels, and associated electrical & mechanical components.

• Fabrication & Assembly Skills:

  Hands-on experience in metal fabrication, body building, equipment mounting, hose reel installation, tank assembly, and overall vehicle outfitting.

• Electrical & Mechanical Expertise:

  Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic layouts, and mechanical drawings used in firefighting vehicle build processes.

• Quality & Safety Focus:

  Familiarity with firefighting vehicle standards, safety protocols, testing procedures, and quality checks to ensure reliability and compliance.

• Problem-Solving Ability:

  Skilled in diagnosing assembly issues, mechanical faults, wiring problems, and system malfunctions, with the ability to provide effective solutions.

• Testing & Commissioning Experience:

  Experience in functional testing of pumps, valves, control systems, lighting, and safety equipment prior to final delivery.

• Teamwork & Communication:

  Good coordination skills for working with fabrication teams, electricians, mechanics, and production supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

• Attention to Detail:

  Strong focus on accuracy, finishing quality, and adherence to design specifications, given the critical nature of firefighting equipment.
