Assistant Manager - Accounts & Finance

The Assistant Manager – Accounts will support the accounting and finance functions of the organisation. This role involves assisting with financial reporting, ledger maintenance, budgeting, compliance and leading a small team of accounting staff. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, a solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, and experience with financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and prepare financial statements.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payment and collection.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations and cost centre reconciliations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, analysing variances and providing recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with taxation (GST, TDS), statutory audits, internal controls and financial policies.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of accounting software and process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance. A professional qualification (CA Inter, ICWA, MBA Finance) is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
