Assistant IT Manager

The IT Assistant Manager will assist the IT Manager in managing the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and operations. Your role involves managing IT projects, maintaining system security, providing technical support, and mentoring a team of IT professionals. It is essential for you to possess solid technical skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to align IT strategies with business objectives. You will be responsible for team leadership and management, which includes managing and mentoring the IT team, assigning tasks, tracking performance, and promoting a team-oriented and creative work culture. Additionally, you will oversee day-to-day IT system operations, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of IT infrastructure. Your role will also involve guiding and assisting IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and implementations. You will create project plans, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and ensure project success within timelines and budgets. Implementing and maintaining IT security policies, procedures, and protocols will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. You will scan systems for vulnerabilities, conduct security audits and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards like GDPR and ISO 27001. Providing advanced technical support to end-users, creating IT documentation, and conducting staff training on new technologies are also key responsibilities. You will contribute to creating and implementing IT strategies aligned with organizational objectives, assess new technologies, oversee IT budgets, and manage vendor relationships effectively. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, CCNA, or Microsoft will be advantageous. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, and compliance requirements.,
