Role Overview: As an Assistant IT Manager, you play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the IT department's functions under the guidance of the IT Manager. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all network and computer systems are running smoothly, effectively, and securely. This position requires a blend of technical skills and the ability to manage projects, including troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving IT systems. You will collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and work towards strategically aligning IT initiatives with business goals. Additionally, you will support the IT Manager in implementing new technologies, managing IT staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. A successful Assistant IT Manager is detail-oriented, possesses strong leadership capabilities, and has a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the IT Manager in planning and implementing IT projects. - Supervise and support the IT staff and delegation of IT tasks. - Monitor network and system performance to detect issues proactively. - Oversee the daily operations of IT services and infrastructure. - Ensure security measures are in place and up to date regularly. - Coordinate with departments to meet their IT requirements efficiently. - Contribute to strategic planning of IT systems and processes improvements. - Manage user support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. - Assist in budgeting for IT resources and optimizing IT costs effectively. - Stay updated with the latest technology trends to improve company systems. - Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards. - Assist in developing IT policies, procedures, and best practices documentation. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT management or support. - Strong knowledge of network and system administration fundamentals. - Experience with managing IT projects and cross-functional team collaborations. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical tasks. - Effective communication skills for coordinating with different departments. - Proficiency in IT security practices and understanding of data compliance issues.
