Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance Establish quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks and the requirements of customers and research/design and development, and define the metrics required to assess performance against standards required Conduct periodic reviews of Quality initiatives and formulate action points for respective plants. Identify projects for quality, real-time manufacturing improvements, cost reduction & safer workplace Ensure effective internal and external audits are conducted for Quality systems, processes, and procedures across plants Build quality awareness across the SBU by using different interventions like training, slogan/poster campaign etc Ensure that corrective actions are delivered and non-compliance issues are resolved on time Enforce compliance with internal procedures to ensure that established quality and process procedures are being followed by the appropriate personnel at all times Incubate and bring in new methodologies for process improvements and deploy corresponding analytical tools to measure the effectiveness of the same Drive total quality management including developing skills and competencies of the employees. Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy Implementation of administration and measurement of total quality management programs Six Sigma initiatives, Lean Manufacturing etc. Drive organizational initiatives like safety, health etc. in the team. Preparation of necessary gauges. To work hands on with design engineering and production team to establish the process To work with the quality team and clients team to main compliance on periodic fixture calibration and organize necessary approvals from railway authorities and clients inspectors. Preferred candidate profile Must have the knowledge advanced autocad, 3D Modeling. Knowledge of CREO will be preferred. Knowledge of designing of Fixtures, Lifting Tackles, Positioners, Hydraulic fixtures, Weld Adaptors, hand Tools, Pallets, jigs fixture design etc will be preferred. They must enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries in the workplace. Responsible to Manage the inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to ensure that the production process is not interrupted by a shortage of materials. Managing the production costs to ensure that the production is cost-effective and profitable for the company. This includes managing labour costs, materials costs, and equipment costs. Responsible for managing the production team, including the hiring and training of new employees, and the performance appraisal of existing employees.
