We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual for the role of Assistant General Manager, to lead established Quality Hub in India. The successful candidate will oversee and manage operations, ensuring the highest quality standards, efficiency, and expansion. Quality will be key, with additional focus on attracting, hiring, and overseeing a high-performing team to support the hub s growth and success.
Main responsibilities:
Develop
operational policies for the Quality hub in Bengaluru, India.
Hiring and managing employees.
The candidate must have experience in team management. Lead, mentor, and motivate the team towards achieving quality goals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Assist the General Manager in managing the employee development programs, ensuring skill enhancement and career growth opportunities.
Achieve
strategic objectives for the India hub on a quarterly basis.
Oversee
employees to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
Manage
supplier performance by leading the supplier development team to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
Supervise in-house quality control
processes for manufactured components.
Collaborate
with external accountants and senior management based in the UK. Experience Required:
5+ years
experience working as a general manager or operations manager. Experience within the
manufacturing
or mechanical engineering industry with strong focus on Quality Control.
Able to read and understand technical Engineering Drawings (ideally for CNC machined parts at a minimum) including competency with GDT, CMM and surface finishing.
3+ years experience working in
supplier development.
Experience with hiring and managing a team.
Excellent understanding of Indian tax systems.
Fluent in
English.
Strong IT skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills.
