Job Title: Fabrication Engineer (steel Structure) Location: [Navi Mumbai] Department: site engineering Job Type: Full-TimeJob Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fabrication Engineer to oversee and optimize the design, planning, and execution of metal fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that fabricated components meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and are delivered on schedule. This role involves working closely with design, production, and quality teams to improve fabrication techniques, materials usage, and overall process efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop fabrication processes for new and existing products. Create and review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Develop fabrication methods, tooling, and fixtures to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Select appropriate materials and fabrication techniques (e.g., welding, cutting, bending, machining). Collaborate with design and consultant team. Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement corrective actions. Monitor production to ensure adherence to engineering standards and quality specifications. Conduct time and cost analysis for fabrication projects. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Proven experience (2–5 years) in a fabrication or manufacturing engineering role. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques (welding, laser cutting, CNC machining, etc.). Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Experience with manufacturing process improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and project management skills. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, AWS, or ISO. Background in working with sheet metal, structural steel, or heavy fabrication. Working Conditions: Office and production floor environment as well as site erection. May require occasional travel to suppliers or project sites. Use of PPE as required in manufacturing areas.
