Assistant Engineer

As an Assistant Engineer in the Engineering/Maintenance department of the hotel, you will play a crucial role in supporting maintenance and engineering operations. Your responsibilities will include performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks, assisting in repairs, and ensuring the efficient functioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will assist in a variety of maintenance tasks such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. Working closely with the engineering team, you will help in inspecting, diagnosing, and resolving equipment malfunctions. Monitoring and documenting maintenance activities will be part of your routine, with a requirement to report any issues to the Maintenance Manager. Additionally, you will contribute to implementing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring the proper maintenance and storage of tools and equipment. Adherence to safety procedures and company policies is paramount in this role. You will be expected to respond to guest service requests related to engineering issues as assigned, requiring good communication and collaboration skills with other departments for operational support. To be successful in this position, you should possess a Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field. While 0-1 years of experience in hotel or facility maintenance is preferred, basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) and the ability to use tools and read technical manuals are essential. Being physically fit and willing to work flexible shifts is necessary, along with having good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
