Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
• Support food production activities across different sections of the kitchen, including hot, cold, pastry, and banquet stations.
• Supervise junior kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food handling, safety procedures, and efficient workflow.
• Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability aligns with upcoming service needs.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and assisting with ordering to minimize waste.
• Uphold strict food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness, proper storage practices, and adherence to health regulations.
• Collaborate with catering teams for special events or large banquets, ensuring timely preparation and quality service.
• Oversee shift management tasks such as scheduling, coordinating staff duties, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
• Support restaurant management in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent food service and teamwork.
• Participate in training sessions on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and new menu items to continually enhance skills.

Skills

• Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong foundation in food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Prior banquet experience demonstrating ability to handle large-scale catering events efficiently.
• Supervising experience within a fast-paced kitchen setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments or specialized menus.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff under pressure.
• Excellent understanding of inventory management, food handling procedures, and food safety regulations.
• Skilled in food production techniques including cooking, plating, and presentation for diverse cuisines.
• Experience with restaurant management tasks such as shift management, menu planning, and customer service coordination.
• Familiarity with catering services, hospitality standards, and restaurant operations across various settings.
