Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Chef to support our main kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should be able to handle large-scale meal preparation while maintaining hygiene and taste quality. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals for students and staff (300+ servings daily) Ensure proper storage and handling of raw and cooked food items Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times Help with menu planning and portion control Monitor kitchen supplies and report shortages to the Head Chef Comply with food safety regulations and institute hygiene policies Support the kitchen team during special events or increased demand periods Required Qualifications and Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in an institutional or industrial kitchen (hostel, college, hospital, etc.) Good knowledge of South Indian and basic North Indian cuisine Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions Team player with strong work ethic and discipline Physically fit to handle long kitchen hours and lifting tasks Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety norms Preferred Qualifications Certification in Food Production or Hotel Management (Not mandatory but preferred) Experience in a maritime training institute or similar educational setting Work Schedule 6 days a week Morning and evening shift-based work (as per duty rotation) Food and uniform will be provided on duty How to Apply Interested candidates can apply through Indeed or send their CV to: hr@eurotechmaritime.org Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹40,110.25 per month Work Location: In person Expected Start Date: 25/06/2025
